Brandenburg Demolition, Inc. was established in 1968 as a privately held company chartered in the State of Illinois. It was determined that the word ‘demolition’ in the company name perceptively limited its full line of services. Thus, the decision was made in 1984 to change the name to Brandenburg Industrial Service Company.

Personnel

Brandenburg maintains a workforce in excess of 500 full-time employees. Brandenburg’s executive management has at least 12 years of experience with the company. The company’s engineering staff is highly experienced and oversees the estimating, planning, management, environmental, and safety segments of each project. Brandenburg’s field personnel are skilled union members and receive extensive training.

Financial

Brandenburg has continually experienced annual growth. The company’s annual revenues for 2004 and 2005 are in excess of $150 million. The company’s Dun & Bradstreet rating is 4A2. Brandenburg has never filed for any type of financial protection.

Insurance

Each insurance company underwriting Brandenburg’s policies hold Best’s ratings of A+15. Zurich American Insurance Co. has been the main insurance carrier for Brandenburg since 1998. Bonding

Continental Casualty Co. has provided Brandenburg with bid and performance bonding since 1995. Brandenburg’s aggregate bonding capacity is $50 million with a single project limit of $20 million. The company’s rating classification = A and financial size category = XV. No bond claims have ever been made.

Project Experience

Brandenburg has a proven track record of completing the most difficult projects on time and without incident. Upon request, Brandenburg can provide an extensive list of major completed projects with a customer reference for each.

Safety

Brandenburg’s commitment to safety is unparalleled in the industry. The company maintains a staff of safety engineers with backgrounds in civil engineering, industrial hygiene, mining, manufacturing, and power generation. Brandenburg’s staff also includes two former Occupational Safety and Health Administration management personnel. The company’s current workers’ compensation experience modification rating (EMR) is 0.59. Brandenburg is the first and only demolition contractor to successfully complete OSHA’s Challenge.
