Cold-cutting methods were utilized to open each tank. Contents of each tank were addressed individually to avoid unintentional cross contamination of contents. Liquid and semi-solid wastes were then mixed with stabilization agents to facilitate transportation and disposal.

Multiple Underground Storage Tanks

Two excavators worked together to remove underground storage tanks. The excavator, equipped with a conventional bucket, uncovered the tanks while the shear implemented cold-cutting methods to cut pipes and tank retainer straps. After removal and relocation, the shear cut each tank open.

Elevated Water Tank

Selective structural removal was performed to pull down an elevated water tank.
